Woe is us

We are sick yo. The whole famdamily. We wanted to have not only a happy, but healthy new year. People in hell want ice water too I suppose.

Reno was a fricking blast! Where else but Reno or Vegas can it make perfect sense to start hitting the bottle at 9 a.m. and not sleep until 5 a.m.? We missed Goldie, but we found that we still have a lot to talk about just the two of us. It was awesome.

What is not awesome is hearing the words "I pooped water" or "get the snot sucker" on a holiday weekend.

I've been Tagged!

I've been tagged by Motherhood Mayhem!

Q)What were you doing 10 years ago?

A)Ten years ago I was in my senior year in high school. Dating 3 boys, getting ready for college, the world awaited me!

Q)What were you doing 1 year ago?

A) I found out I was pregnant and got married the day after Christmas.....it was AWESOME!!

Five snacks you enjoy: Mochas, dip, BROWNIES, BBQ chips, Candy!

Five songs to which you know all the lyrics:Rappers Delight, Hollaback girl, Night Moves, 9 to 5, The Gambler!

Five bad habits: vanilla stoli, soda pop, still want to smoke sometimes (but I don't!) talking too much

Five things you like doing: Traveling, writing, being with Goldie and Davey, being with family.

Five things you would never wear, buy or get new again: French bulldog (long story) tapered jeans(I don't care if they come back!)

Mama be busy

Mama is busy yo. I gots me tha new pup and all. She is so incredibly cute, but unfortunately it turned into sort of a rescue. From a real live trailer park. From people who said "did you know that in California people look down on you if you live in a trailer park?" I had no fucking idea yo. Sad sad world you live in. So the poor babe weighs like 10 lbs and she should be double that, you can see her ribs and she snores. And has bad breath. She does, however, score a 10 on the cuteness scale. She is also in love with Goldie, but who isn't really?

I had a massive fever on Friday night and when it went away about 20 cold sores were born on my lip. I can't even leave the house and my husband is considering moving out to get away from my herpe lip. It's a lonely world out there yo.

Ho Ho Ho!

Doggies and the baby Jesus

My fantasy dog scenerio has become reality! I pick up my french bulldog on Sunday! Even though I got a deal on her, it really is a lot to pay for an animal described as "semi-housetrained"
I am so excited! The only problem is she has a REALLY lame name that I am determined to change. I shall christen her Gertie! How cute is that!

Also, following in her mama's footsteps, Goldie will be the baby Jesus in the Christmas pageant on Sunday (pre-fantasy dog pick up). The only question is what exactly does a baby Jesus who isn't even a boy wear?

The end of the milk saga?

Today Goldie and I spent the day together. It started out great because her Nana and auntie and little cousin Kate came over and presented her with an adorable new Christmas outfit. Poor kid would never have anything new if it weren't for the kindness of family and friends. Sorry baby G, your mother is one cheap bastard.

We went to the LC and it appears that my milk supply is going well! The final decision was to breast feed all day and add rice cereal made with formula once a day. I can live with that.
I had a come to Jesus with myself about why I am so against formula. I am afraid she won't be smart. I don't know why I feel that way when I know MANY MANY smart babies and people who are brilliant and were bottle fed. Anyway, I will continue to breastfeed knowing that in a dire situation she won't starve and get over myself already. I so appreciate all of your kind words and advice. I think that we are going to be okay now.

She hates rice cereal by the way. By hates I mean she screams and spits milky ricey balls of fury at me whenever I get that nasty shit near her.

Hair

I thought I had escaped the post-baby hair loss gig. The book said that it would suddenly shed after birth. Well, let me tell you, I gave birth and still had all my hair. Well, 4 months AFTER the momentous event my hair is falling off in chunks people. Big gobs of hair. Crikey.

The drain in my shower is growing a wig yo.
